CoD4 desktop short cut

I have a desktop shortcut which takes me straight into my match server.

If you want to know how to, details as follows

Create a CoD4 short cut (or use existing one)

Right click, select properties.

On the target line you will see: (depending on where game is located)

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\iw3mp.exe"

If you add the additional info: (use your server details)

+connect 77.74.195.49:28961; password happynewyear

Your target line will look like this:

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\iw3mp.exe" +connect 77.74.195.49:28961; password happynewyear

You can rename shortcut to anything you like, i.e seren_match

Password is only needed if server has PW on. Although if your server is used for match and public play (and you use the same password all the time) The password is entered in the 'target line'. When match mode is enabled password will be put in for you already.

If PW is changed, all you will need to do is change PW in target line.

This also applies to ANY CoD game.

P.S. The password I've supplied is incorrect :P

You can also log straight into rcon too..

As above but add the following little bit of code:

+rcon login rconpasswordhere

So target line will look like

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\iw3mp.exe" +connect 77.74.195.49:28961; password happynewyear +rcon login rconpasswordhere

It works, just tested it too :woot: Simple but effect :D
