Recording Demos

hey guys,

Iv recently got meself a tv card and need abit of help recording..

Iv got Iuvcr
Sony Vegas (trial)

But am unsure how to record from what my screen is producing. Any1 that does demos would u mind running me through it?

Not sure about your tv card so unable to advise.

If you want to record a cod4 demo you have several options.

By playing demo via a player (seismovision or one available from our DL section) and using a desk top recording program Fraps / Wegame / Camtasia

Some details below

1. DL fraps (will have water mark on video unless u buy it) output into avi files then tweak in vegas and use xvid codec to compress it. I do use this one.

2. DL wegame (new site with program I found the other day) this works like fraps - ** PLS note I have not physically tried it yet !! will try tonight.** Out put is into .wmv (info from site)

3. Camtasia (records desktops - handy for showing people how to use a specific program .i.e. sony vegas) not tried but looks possible. Also need to buy it free trial but watermarks on screen

Also try youtube for a few tutorials 'sony vegas tuts' / tutorials as search string ;)

Nah i need recording for mohaa. I believe cod4 has a built i recorder doesnt it?

Anyways yeah my iuvcr just isnt picking up my svideo connection, jus shows a black screen...Iv got a s-video cable going from graphics card 2 tv card. Just need some1 else that has iuvcr and how theirs is set-up...

Providing you can play your demo of match etc...

wegame / fraps should allow you to record a video (from demo)

but fraps is crap making video quality and fps around 30fps which is not playable for me..
