So we have completed Seasons 5 and 6 with great joy and real spirit, and finally have a rebuilt a league that had everything going for it. Season 7 will run like Season 6 but with a lot of interesting and exciting changes. In fact i couldnt wait any longer so I decided to post the majority of the details now, while we still finalise the top divisions prizes and names.
Community Counter Strike Source League, in partnership with Game Serve (http://www.game-serve.co.uk), Gaming Templates (http://www.gaming-templates.com), g0tCMS (http://www.g0tCMS.com), Vinyl Clothing (website to be revealed later), SteelSeries (http://www.steelseries.co.uk) and Blast Hards(http://www.blasthards.com) is proud to present the following details for Season 7, April - June 2007.
* First of all a brand new website is to be released. It hasnt gone live yet for reasons that the Admins are still considering it from our partners, but here is what we have at present: Clandle Website (http://www.clandle.co.uk), we shall be running three different competitions with prizes on extra graphics. Prizes will be finalised nearer the time. Please take a look and see what you think, see if you like the feel of the website/forums. Give us your opinion.
* Secondly, Season 7 will run in exactly the same way it has done this season with some minor changes to the Map List, and to the layout of our One Day System. Here is the One Day System:
Invite League - Thursday 8pm
Premiership - Thursday 9pm
Championship - Tuesday 8pm
Division One - Wednesday 9pm
Division Two - Wednesday 8pm
Division Three - Tuesday 9pm (clashes with EDCSSL)
As you can see we have now ot dedicated nights for each division. Yes we noticed that Div 3 will clash with EDCSSL, but hopefully we won't have clans affected by this, and if they are there will be the use of our Reschedule system, and a wildcard. So really its not a problem. This system is to help it be more flexible for clans to play.
As you can see there is a new Invite Only League that has been put in place, this will be starting off with 8 teams we believe would be pleased to join CCSSL, until we start to make a name for ourselves. The list for the Invite League will be given nearer the time, but we are confident of attaining these clans.
The Map List will be changed slightly.
Week 1: de_contra
Week 2: de_train
Week 3: de_season
Week 4: de_cpl_fire & de_cpl_mill
Week 5: de_cbble
Week 6: de_nuke
Week 7: de_strike_rc3 & de_dust2
Week 8: None
As you can see we have now included a Second Two Map Week to our list. Do not worry, your seasons will not become two maps every week. I'd like to keep the seasons exciting :) If people think each season is boring at other leagues then they will soon flood to CCSSL :D.
Playoffs:
Now here is the really really exciting part of being in CCSSL for Season 7. You want big and better, you want huge things to happen well we do have that. The Playoffs of course will take place at the end of the Season in traditional fashion. But the twist is that it will be a Blast Hards LAN Party in June. Now we are still in the pipelines of securing all the details, but we are confident that we can get it sorted. Denby one of our admins, well his mum owns the venue, and Denby is an admin at the LAN. We are currently in talks with the boss of Blast Hards, which one of the growing LANs in the UK at present, with a huge influx of european players coming over to play at this special LAN. All you guys will need to do in order to secure your place at this LAN is finish in the Top 4 of your division (we are not sure which divisions will get this privilage yet, more details will be revealed soon) and then pay a whopping £17 for your entry fee. We maybe able to sort something else out nearer the time about free entry. I cannot guarentee anything at present, but we are really working hard to achieve a massive event for CCSSL's clans. Im so excited, i really cant wait. At this LAN, it's a 3 day event, with a bar, restraurant, a hotel, and exibition stands, all what you could want from a LAN. Along with friendly Gumpster who will attend to have a laugh! What more could you ask for from CCSSL?
* Thirdly - We have now added two new rules for ALL clans who enter CCSSL to follow.
2. 2 Contact
All clans must have two different ways of contacting by a minumum of two players from each clan, preferable is email and xfire (or instant messenger in some form). For example:
Gumpster - email godsavegivers3@hotmail.com and xfire: gumpster
Dalatejc - email dalatejc@hotmail.com and xfire: dalatejc
These must be on your clan details page under section of "Challenge Notes", if this is not done, then we may deem your clan as time wasters to this league.
2. 3 Folding/Inactive
All clan leaders MUST inform ONE admin by some kind of contact, the day/night your clan folds, so we can find a replacement. If you do not do this, your new clan or the clan you enter in will not be allowed in the league for reasons as "time wasters", we have a league to run, and clans have matches to practice for, if you do not inform an admin then we cannot find replacements, or tell the opposition that there is no match for that weeks play. Please it only takes 5 minutes to say your clan has folded etc.
These rules are here to help the league flourish and to stop reoccuring clans folding whenever they join. It's common sense and a good manner of sportsmanship for people involved in this league.
*Fourthly - Prizes
Most people and clans like to know our prizes for all tournaments and leagues, well this season you certainly will get your times worth. At present i cannot reveal just yet our top Divisions due to still ironing out the prizes we shall be getting from our current sponsors. But we do have exciting ones coming along, and definately some "different" prizes from the usual hardware/software/servers. Here are how our prizes currently line up.
Invite League Only - Sponsored by SteelSeries (http://www.steelseries.co.uk)

3rd Prize: 5x Half Price Custom Designed T-Shirts.

2nd Place: Free Website for 6 months and free 100 Tick Server for 3 months
3rd Place: Free Website for 3 months and free 100 Tick Server for 2 months.

1st - Free full website, including 6mnths of hosting and .com domain
2nd - Free Themed website for 6 months + Team Logo including 50% off a custom template of your choice
3rd - Free Themed website for 3 months
*Fifthly - Admins
Well as usual a big question mark hangs over the Admin Structure, and what happens etc. We havent added to our current squad of admins, but we have re-structured the way we present ourselves, hoping to make it clearer to you and keep the Community in Community CSS League!
Billie - Community Leagues Head Admin
Gumpster - Head Admin
Senior Admins:
Denby
Shinobi
Urame
DeadChicken
N/A - IRC Captain - This Position is now Open
Tibs - Senior Admin on Match Nights
Noddy - Clan Recruitment
SilkyJohnson - Website + Banner Designer
Match Admins:
Critical
Hybrid
Veloci1ty
Nrki
Sike
Total: 16
*Sixthly - Match Conflict Process.
The way to process a complaint or rejecting results. When you go to confirm a result, then basically you unclick the "Confirm A Result" and then press confirm, it will automatically process it at a rejected result. If you have a match conflict, then you must first of all email your Head Divisional Admin (so for example) you email Gumpster at godsavegivers3@hotmail.com and you then also email the Senior Match Admin (which is Tibs) with the same email. You set your emails out appropiately containing this vital information:
Date: 23rd April 2007
Clans Involved: MODx & EV Omega
Time: 9pm
Server: 3
Reason: EV Omega used an illegal player that is not on their roster.
Then all you have to do is ellaborate on the situation, and the two admins will watch the demo, and come to a decision. One of the two admins (Head Divisional Admin) will reply in the email within 48 hours and tell you what is the outcome of the decision, and what will now happen after the match.
DO NOT at any time post a match conflict on the forums, we experienced this in Season 6 and it led to flame wars and arguments between the admins and players. If the admins concerned have not replied in the 48 hours do not be worried this may mean that they are asking other admins. Please email me with your match conflict (so i would advise keeping a copy of what you sent to the two Senior Admins) and i will get right on to it.
*Seventhly - Illegal Players
In the past, we have used a default win to the opposing team, when an illegal player is fielded. We do not feel this is the right way to go especially as a default win only gives you the +1 round difference etc. We feel that a deduction of upto 2 points is the better way to go. We stress that we do not tolerate teams who field illegal players and will be sure to crack down on it this season.
More details are on their way!
