1.0 Introduction.
Welcome to the CLANDLE (Community Leagues AND Ladders Europe) Counter-Strike Source League (CCSSL) brought to you in
association with Game-Serve [http://www.game-serve.co.uk]
Before we move on to the rules we would just like to advise that its the clan Leaders responsibility that all his clan members understand every rule listed below. Non English speaking players must abide by the rule set - CL's must ensure that this is the case.
Clan leaders will be held responsible, along with the offending member(s) of the clan, for any actions deemed to be out of order according to these rules.
You also must note, that an admin does have the right to enforce rules not specified here although, for this to be done, a senior admin must be involved.
1.1 League format.
The league comprises 5 divisions:
Invite League Only
Premiership
Division 1
Division 2
Waiting Division
4 set divisions and a Waiting Division. The Waiting Division is open to any clan who wishes to enter and has no date limitations. The Waiting Division is seen as an area to prove your skills and stability to the admin team to allow a fair placement in the next season. Clans who compete within the Waiting Division will be given priority over newly applied clans when applying to compete in the fixed divisions.
Two matches shall be played per week dictated by the generated fixtures. The match is to be played on your divisions scheduled time only and not any other day unless you have asked your opposition and an admin. If for some reason the match cannot be played on the date given, then you must contact your division admin within 24 hours before the match is due to be played, a new date must be agreed within the same week! Failing that a default loss will be registered against your clan. Each team will have one wildcard to use per season, which can be used up until 24 hours before your scheduled match time start. This will postpone the match to Week 8 of the Season. This must be declared to the admins and the new date arranged.
If there are any folded clans that happen mid-season, the divisional admin will take appropriate action at his discression. Sides joining will have to take the place of the side that folded and their current placement / wins. This is non-negotiable. Should a clan fold and no replacement be made, all 14 Results will be changed to defaults. The league does not tolerate time wasters, it causes problems for admins, and clans alike.
1.2 Match Dates & Times
All Dates are given as Week Beginning - if your side does not play on the Monday then judge your date/time accordingly. It is fairly obvious as to when you play. We will post regular updates to the fixtures on the ccssl website. We also understand that there are other competitions which run concurrently, so we ask clans to be considerate to other teams who want to play perhaps on a different day due to a clash or an hour earlier e.t.c.

2.0 General Rules
2.1 Defining Cheating
Any player found cheating or breaking the rules laid down by CCSSL will be removed & banned from all CCSSL hosted tournaments and this can result in further banning from other various leagues & ladders. Cheats include the use of aimbots, wallhacks, ESP, anti-smoke & flashbangs, anti-recoil, spike models etc.
2.2 Contact
All clans must have two different ways of contacting by a minumum of two players from each clan, preferable is email and xfire (or instant messenger in some form). For example:
Gumpster - email godsavegivers3@hotmail.com and xfire: gumpster
Dalatejc - email dalatejc@hotmail.com and xfire: dalatejc
These must be on your clan details page under section of "Challenge Notes", if this is not done, then we may deem your clan as time wasters to this league.
2.3 Folding/Inactive
All clan leaders MUST inform ONE admin by some kind of contact, the day/night your clan folds, so we can find a replacement. If you do not do this, your new clan or the clan you enter in will not be allowed in the league for reasons as "time wasters", we have a league to run, and clans have matches to practice for, if you do not inform an admin then we cannot find replacements, or tell the opposition that there is no match for that weeks play. Please it only takes 5 minutes to say your clan has folded etc.
These rules are here to help the league flourish and to stop reoccuring clans folding whenever they join. It's common sense and a good manner of sportsmanship for people involved in this league.
3.0 Player ID & Registration
3.1 Steam ID's
Every player must have a unique ID 'Steam ID' before he/she can play in any match. IDs will be checked before every match starts by the in server admin. Failure to provide a valid ID will result in that player being removed from the server.
3.2 Registration Definition
All IDs must be registered on the CCSSL site under the Clan Details. Players will only be allowed to play if their ID matches that registered on the site and that the date next to their name shows at period of 3 or more days from the start time of the match. If you are unsure whether you or a member of your team can play or not please ask one of the admins.
3.3 High Standards
We hold high standards here and therefore we expect the same from teams to ensure all their players are signed up correctly with the full correct steam ID with no missing numbers or errors. Even if one number is missing from the end we will put pressure on teams by forcing that player to sit out of matches until correct.
4.0 Player Settings & Customization
4.1 Map Textures
Customized material & content such as map textures, player models & other world models along with player skins that give a clear unfair advantage are forbidden to be used. Again any player found using illegal models or skins will be removed and banned from all CCSSL hosted tournaments. However weapon skins / HUDs are ok to be used. This rule really comes down to common sense from players and most should know the difference between whats ok & whats not. Admins will have the final say, if any player is unsure ask before you play.
4.2 Rates
All players are required to use the appropriate rates for their connection speed. CCSSL admins will check all players are using correct rates before the match starts & may carry out spot checks during the game. Any player found changing their rates during a match to gain an advantage may face a weeks ban & if found doing the same again that player will be removed from the event.
4.3 Sprays
Animated or static sprays that could be used to confuse opponents are strictly forbidden. Players found using these sprays will be warned and again could face a weeks ban depending on an admins decision. This also applies for any racist or pornographic sprays, leave them for your own private servers not on CCSSL servers.
4.4 Scripts
Players may use scripts & custom CFG files however any scripts used to 'cheat' the game interface are forbidden such as rate changing scripts during the live game or any anti-recoil or view changing scripts. The same applies to those using bunny-hopping scripts which are also forbidden to be used.
4.5 Screenshots from Admin
At any time a CCSSL admin can ask for a team or a player to take on the spot screen shots. Failure to take the screen shots on request will result in a week\'s ban for the player involved or could result in a team ban. Any player who leaves the server & rejoins to take his or her screen shots will be noted and if it happens again will be removed from the league for possible cheating. These checks will be conducted randomly by admins.
5.0 Match Details
5.1 Servers
All matches are to be on CCSSL league servers with a registered CCSSL league Admin in the server during the match or else the score will be void.
5.2 Times
All matches are to be played at the allocated time slot shown on the fixtures. Matches will be between 19:00 - 21:00 GMT [Greenwich Mean Time]. Team may re-arrange matches only if both teams agree or if not teams can play their one & only wildcard (see below on wildcard details). There will be a over run week to play any unplayed matches.
5.3 Rounds
All matches within the CCSSL League will be played to MR15 (15 rounds a half) before teams swap sides. Round times will be to set to 1.45 minutes. Once one side has won 16 rounds the match is over.
5.4 Swapping Sides
Teams should only swap sides once all 15 rounds have been played out and not a second before. This is so admins can take the required screen shots & to avoid match cheating. Players who fail to follow this rule will be warned and may face a weeks ban if the warning is ignored.
5.5 Pings
There are no ping restrictions for players.
5.6 Spectators
Players are allowed to spectators matches using the Source TV provided, with a 90 second delay enforced. No spectators will be allowed to idle in the main match servers apart from the registered admin during the match. A full list of Source TV servers including the number of allocated spaces available for each can be found under the 'League Servers Listing' page.
5.7 Demos
SrcTV demos will be recorded for all matches & will be made available only to the two teams involved in the match upon request. Demos will only be kept for up to a week unless otherwise stated.
5.8 Knife Round
Before every match begins a 'Knife Round' will be played to decide which team picks sides. The winning team will get to chose the side. If for some reason the time expires & no team has won the admin will decide which team wins from either how many players remain or by decided which team was the most aggressive. There will be no need to drop weapons & the bomb as all the servers will run a knife round config.
5.9 Ready Steady GO
Admins will start the match once he/she has the ok from both teams. We ask team leaders to say \'ready\' when the admin asks. If a player is not ready to start he or she should sit in spectate mode with their full team name on so not to be kicked.
5.10 Waiting for opposition
Teams have 10 minutes of waiting time allocated once the clock hits 10 past the hour the match will begin whether the teams are ready or not.
5.11 Players in Match
Teams must have at least 3 players in the server to play the match. Failure to field 3 players will result in a default win to the other team.
5.12 Player Drops
Teams who field the full 5 man are not required to drop players if playing against a team who can only field 3 or 4. Those teams who put the effort in to ensure a full 5 man team have every right to play all 5.
6.0 Joining & Timing Out
6.1 Pause Time
Each team is allocated 5 minutes of pause time per match (that\'s 5 minutes in total for the 2 halfs) which can be called upon by the team at any time. Admins will pause the server at the beginning of the next new round & will un-pause either when called upon to do so or when the player returns. No player is to pause or un-pause the game in anyway.
6.2 Timing Out
If a player drops or times-out during the match the admin will pause the game to allow the dropped player to rejoin. Again NO player is allowed to pause or un-pause the game in anyway. Failure to follow this rule will result in a week\'s ban. Admins are there for this job leave it to them. Teams however can request a pause and all pauses will be made at the start of a new round & not before hand. Each team is allocated 5 minutes of pause time which can be used in one go or in stages depending on how long players take to rejoin and on how many times players drop from the server. Once the full 5 minutes have been used up the admin will not pause the game for that team. Admins will un-pause and re-pause to allow connecting player to join.
6.3 Common Sense in late running servers
Teams & players should check their match server before joining using a game browser to ensure no late running matches are still being played. We ask teams to use common sense & allow teams to finish before joining.
6.4 Subbing Players
Teams can sub players during any point of the match however if they wish for the server to be pause to do this it will eat into their 5 minute allocated pause time.
6.5 Server Crashing
NEW RULE
If for any reason the server crashes or times out the half will be replayed again from the start. If however the half enters into round 10 or higher only the remaining 5 rounds (or less) will be played with a start money of $3,500
7.0 Bomb Planting & Defusing
7.1 Bomb Planting
The bomb may only be planted in locations that are accessible by regular jumping. Using team-mates to boost and plant the bomb in an inaccessible location is illegal. Planting the bomb in any area that is classified as a map bug is also illegal. This includes planting within the fish pond on de_inferno.
7.2 Obstructing the Bomb
The Terrorist team are not permitted to deliberately obstruct access to the bomb in an effort to prevent Counter-Terrorists from defusing. For example, covering the bomb with chairs/barrels.
7.3 Defusing the bomb
Counter-Terrorists may not attempt to defuse the bomb if it is out of sight. Defusing the bomb through a solid object is illegal. Please note that being able to see ONLY the red flashing glow/light is still illegal. You must be able to see the bomb itself.
7.4 Consequences
Failure to abide to the rules on bomb planting / defusing will result in a round defaulted to the other team.
8.0 Rearranging Matches (Wildcards)
8.1 How to use your Wildcards
NEW RULE
Every team is allocated with 1 'wildcard' that allows them to rearrange one of their matches for whatever reason. The wildcard can be used at anytime but must follow the following two rules:
1) It must be posted on our league forum stating your the team name. If we dont see it on our forums and no record can be found then you will lose the game by default so get it right!!
2) You MUST play the wildcard At Least 24 hours before the match. i.e: You must have the forum post in by end of previous night to which you are playing at the very latest. Wildcards posted on the matchday will not be permitted.
3) Matches that are wildcarded will be moved to the last week by default however teams can arrange to play the match before then as long as both teams agree on a date & time and that they let their divisional admin know of this.
8.2 Failure to play wildcards on Week 8
If a match is not fulfilled after being wildcarded you are to see your divisional admin who will make an informed decision on the outcome of the game be it a default or a fixed new date/time. This is non-negotiable and all admin decisions are final.
8.3 Rearranging Matches
If a team has used its 1 & only wildcard they can not rearrange their match unless the other team agrees to it. Again if a match is rearranged it's between the 2 teams to agree on a new date & time and to inform their divisional admin of the new fixture.
9.0 Cards
9.1 Yellow/Red Cards
NEW RULE
Admins have the power to issue a team with a yellow, double yellow or a red card. If one player on your team commits an offence the entire team will be punished. It is up to team leaders to make sure their clan members behave appropriately during matches.
9.2 Why are these used?
NEW RULE
Players who shout uncalled for abuse towards our admins or towards the other team will face a yellow card and a warning. If they continue they will face a double yellow followed by the final red card.
When a team is issued with a red card and its approved by the head admin that team will face a 1week ban. The whole team!! So this is a warning to team leaders keep your players in check and if you can\'t then think long and hard whether you want that player to remain with you.
10.0 Admins
10.1 Same Clan Same Division Admins
No admin will be allowed to administrate a match that is in the same division as his/her own team. Any team that suspects foul play by an admin should report this to the divisional admin who will take action where appropriate.
10.2 Neutral
Admins must remain neutral in their decisions & uphold the rules laid down by CCSSL.

If you feel you are able to become an admin, or would like more of a voice in the way Clandle CSS League is run then please contact myself or NiT for further details.
