Hi All,
I recently tried Multiplays Pickups. The idea is you join an IRC channel and put your name down, once ten random players have put their names down a server and vent IP are assigned.
The ten players then connect to the channel in Vent and the server. Teams are assigned also and each player joins their team.
What follows is like a "mix of players clan war", a scrim/pcw made up of random players. It might sound quite strange but it is infact pretty fun and offers a little more excitement than just everyday public.
It is actually very popular but the problem is it is currently running Promod which for those of you who don't know is a kind of Stock/Default mod, ie, non-hardcore.
For us hardcore players this is horrible. I`ve asked Multiplay if they`d be interested in starting a HC pickup channel. They have said they will look into it if there is enough interest.
So if it sounds like something you are interested in then go sign up at the multiplay forums and post your support at the following topic :-
