Hi

I don’t know where to start really, so I will start with why have we had 6 points docked from our team (=MGUK=) for the re-arranged match we won on Sunday? We had to cancel the previous fixture due to the organiser being away in Florida and we were thanked for giving notice on the forum regarding the cancellation etc.

So we went ahead and re-arranged for Sunday gone, played the match against e.esp.de and won both maps and the match was played in the right spirit etc and a good game was had by all. This leaves us to organise a final match against the AQ lads and the fixture would ultimately decide who actually wins our division.

We originally played the AQ match a few weeks ago, but due to that specific Punkbuster problem players from both sides were being constantly kicked by pb from the server, we then moved to AQ server and the same thing happened so we both agreed to get the match replayed. AQ requested that the fixture be reset so we could get the match re-organised and we followed that up ourselves with a reset request.

This was to be the penultimate match of the season, with the winners taking the league title prize; it’s not a middle of the table battle, its two honest mature clans trying to play the match which was ruined previously by punkbuster.

I am sure you will all agree, there takes a lot of time and effort for all concerned to organise matches here at CCODL, the system is far from perfect from a users perspective and being a programmer myself it’s not difficult to see where improvements could be made.

We enjoy playing CCODL but the organisation takes a lot to be desired, I could harp on about this but I wont, I just want it to be considered when you rethink any future design or if you come to make the right decision and let us play this final match of the season.

I could understand if a new season has started but it has not, and how much of a disappointment will an entire season’s work turn out to be if you deny us to play such an important fixture. Somebody made a very valid point that if this was Enclave Vs Serenity would you say sorry lads you cant play the CCODL deciding match to win the league, because urrrm the seasons over.

So will somebody have the brass balls to allow us to play our final match of a long hard season this week?

Yours Hopefully

BRASS BALLS :banghead

Look the rules are there for all and we cant change them for a missed match whatever the reasons.

We no it would have been a top of the league clash, but there no need to start picking at or slander the way things are run here, all the admins do there best and try and keep all clans happy and the league running smoothly, which it has done now for 2 seasons.

There has been no points deducted from you at all, you just have 2 unplayed match's, im sorry you feel this way, but the rules are the rules and all match's had to be played by 21st, 2 weeks after the final league match's should have been played, puls both encave and seren would not have been able to play it as well, Studek is an admin and knows the rules, and wouldn't even have asked.

There were a lot of dummy clans in all divisions this season, which means 3 teams will go into the prem from div 1, if you which to play the match then by all means play it, but the league standings want change and the same 3 clans will be moved up.

I do not which to see you leave clandle but as i have said, the rules apply to all, and the end go is to gain promotion, which you have done.

Its up to you

Thankyou for the response, i will confirm with you later this evening if we decide to stay, i very much doubt it though.

Thanks for the two seasons we had here and good luck for the future.

Your not the first clan to have issues with last match of the season (this also happened last season) and I'm sure you wont be the last... Clans involved need to advise of any issues sooner rather than later.

If you decide to leave, that's up to you. I can assure you we dont want you to go.

It would be a great shame to lose you from the league =MGUK=.

At the end of the day Johno we have both been promoted. As I recall reading somewhere 3 teams get the nod this season.

We feel just the same We were looking to finish the season unbeaten. Now we'll never know.

we can still have our game if you want at least then we can say who would've won our match if prickbuster hadn't have decided to have heart failure that night.

Let me know and we can arrange something.

Leaving clandle over such a trivial matter would be a waste imho.
