Speccing yourself.

Being able to spec yourself using anothers PC monitor, is it cheating?

In my opinion it is, because its the same as using the cg_3rd_person in the game and it gives an unfair advantage.

What do others think?

One would have thought it would have the same impact as a team mate speccing you and telling you on ts, although when a team mate is telling you, you have the advantage of looking at your screen directly at the nme????!!1

Well a teammate can't really decribe exactly where someone is standing.

if ya tell it to some1 on ts it's not the same as ya can see on a monitor beside ya where the opponent is...action, reaction.... :)

We all in germany know that they sit nixt to each other and that they can spec on the orther ones monitor. In my opinion it isnt a cheat, I just call it more hard to play against them :)

You wouldn't be able to even tell without being in the same room or having a webcam set up. And I do think most people wouldn't want to go through all that effort.

And as said before, if you (try to) ban this, then you must also ban speccing by dead teammates - which is impossible because they are bound to see things anyway, and the third person spectator IS part of the game.

Should it be banned? Probably so. Is it practical to do so? Absolutely not.

Who said they want it banned? Oh right no one. Its obvious that its impossible to ban, just like using a crosshair thats on your monitor or whatever.

I just said that they were using it, really to annoy them more than anything. And it is nothing like 3rd speccing, because if you can watch yourself you can tell exactly where they are, if someone else comms it to you, you wont.
