Cod 5 ...

Hopefully some off you may have Dl'd CoD5...

What are your general opinions to the game so far ?

I'm liking it, but only got about 20 mins of game play so far..

I've only got 20 minutes of playing as well, but I must say it's quite decent. Better graphics, but to me it looks like COD4 wrapped in new gift-paper. Gonna play some different gametypes later today, but looks very similiar to COD4 so far. Couple of smart new features like the "Friends" feature, which is like an in-game xfire. Probably going to buy the full version, not because the game ROCKS, but because COD4 will get boring soon. Always good to have am alternative game to play if you're not in the COD4-mood.

only thing i found fun where the new weapons but then again Thompson with silencer? Huh where is the realism ^^

In the end i will stick to cod4 i think (or it has to happen that evryone from my clan drops CoD4)

Hi,

I`ve cancelled my pre-order, dont like it at all really. Treyarch messed up again.

The sound is horrible.

I don`t have the best computer in the world (infact, I probably have one of the worst) but still from what I can get out of it I don`t really like it.

Maybe it`s going back to WW2 that does it, I played MOHAA for 5 or more years so the WW2 theme is still a little to present in my head.

People kept saying in public servers that its a beta/demo and the full game will be different. The release date is in 2 weeks and i`m sure the full game has already gone to print to satisfy demand so I can`t see the out of the box game being much different.

Like I said from the videos i`d placed a pre-order but now after the demo I`ve cancelled that pre-order. The game reminds me all too much of MoH:Airborne.. so much so that i`ve bought that once, i`m not going to make the same mistake twice ;)

I guess it can be improved upon with patches and user mods but I think i`ll play with caution this time and wait and see how it takes off and what improvements are made in the future.

I'll play a bit more over the weekend and see if I can tweak any game settings....

I've even been playing CoD2 just recently .... me n delerious ftw.
Might even install CoD1 to have another blast...

If the mouse would just move like it does in CoD4 then Id be happy but it doesnt look like thats going to happen. :( Its making great CoD4 players like me and cossie look bad :P

Ill play the demo until the final release but I think Ill pass on buying it.

Note to Treychard Devs,

PC gamers use a keyboard and mouse for fps games not a bloody joypad!

PC Beta don't even have implemented things fixed in xbox beta.
It is in the same state that xbox beta was in the beginning.
Some things are changed right now and be there in full release.

I saw that statements at callofduty.com forums, so maybe (I hope) it is true

Yeah I agree some minor tweaks and bug fixes might have been ironed out but the way the game plays etc and the majority of my gripes about it won`t be fixed in the day 1 release.

Jd also said it was more polished then the xbox 360 and have more fixes for bugs... (before it came out and he gave that as one of the reasons it was taking so long if i remember right!)

I really like it.. Can't see what people are moaning about other then the directional sound... I also love the dogs and the bolts ;D

Played the beta for about an hour and tbh its not what i expected , sound is awful and the whole game play movements are really slow, as said before its more like MoH airbourne which is pish, i might give it another go in the next few days just to see if i can get used to it but going by first impressions .... I dont think i'll be buying this game.

That's actually what I thought when I played it.....although better.

Considering it's supposed to be the same engine as COD4, it feels completely different in play to COD4.

Still haven't made up my mind yet.....but cant see it replacing COD4.
