clarification

With puni being banned will all matches he took part in be given to the other team as i seem to remmeber there being a rules about this kind of situation.

I seriously dout he will be let off this time and this needs to be clarified now.

Fine, if you want to pull the rulebook (again), I'll have you know there is no such rule listed on this website. If players are caught they are banned from matchplay from that point onward. How long is at the admin's descretion depending on the nature of the cheat. That's all it says.

But, we're not such a bad bunch of guys, so if the admins for some reason decide to declare our match versus AoW void because Puni was at the bottom of the kill count, we will happily play you again. Mind though that without Puni there you'll probably get spanked much harder. :)

If they got hacked blatently I could and would understand. Like Lagg says, hes a the bottom of the tables and there wasnt even blatent **** going on during that match. It wouldve been reported if there were problems dont you think Side? So seriously, do you really want to stir up **** again over nothing? Well it seems that the decision will be ours and to be honest all this writing and use off foul language don’t help.

I personally as an admin am going to ask that we give the opposing team that Punni played against a choice of weather they replay the match or take the default.

If Punni is found guilty all the above abusive post don’t really mean much as to cheat to obtain points is far more disgraceful than to claim a default which in respect is allowed even tho there is no set time to which he started to cheat.

Oh and by the way if the leagues a joke don’t let the door hit you on the way out.


As for DMW yes it can be flawed and yes it has on its board people who in the past have cheated but its all we have got and I cant see anything coming out in the future because mohaa is so old.

I seem to remember not being able to give people the default unless he was linked to a banned account, therefor he would have techically been banned in the game....

If no proof was given during his match there is no evidence he cheated against you meaning there is no ban...giving the default would only make you look a bit biased and it would be changed back as soon as someone who knows the rules properly got hold of it...by that yes i do mean Billie...

It bores me when idiots want defaults for nothing...Puni was banned by an awful anti-cheat a while after the war...absolutely nothing to go on to award it....

Bearing in mind a couple of seasons ago Billie was thinking whether to scrap DMW in the league altogether because of how utterly poor it was...Dosie, ask Billie what the policy is on this, she'll tell you it's only when someone is linked and their initial ban was before the war...

Mind, Dosie, that Puni was not caught using a cheat, but that DMW found he had moved files around, while he had been warned not to mess about with his game. A cheat was never detected, but by moving files he breached the EULA and DMW decided to ban him as they had warned him not to. Stu and myself have spoken to DMW about this and the conclusion was that Puni would remain banned for the forseeable future. Should Puni return at some point, they hope he's learned from this and won't ignore them again.

Needless to say Puni will not be playing matches for us any time soon. The impact of this has already been felt by iQ and POW. We're beating people by bigger numbers now. ;)

On another note, I fail to see how our posts were abusive in any way. Izzo's post contains some asterixes, but those words weren't related to AoW, but to Pun's ban. How is it offensive to AoW when he calls cheating 'blatent ****'?

I also stand by the statement that Puni has not cheated in these matches, that his addition to our play was minimal at best, and I can also add to that that IF what Pun got banned for WAS used to cheat, that it was done no sooner than the day he was caught and as such has nothing to do with this match. If that file had been moved before, it would have been noticed. It went untouched until the day DMW detected it, which was well after this match was played. Vic can confirm this if you want to go that far. Get the facts right before you start calling people 'disgraceful' and award defaults.

To AoW: if Puni was that annoying during the match and you are in this league purely to win e-points and rank top spot, go ahead and take the default. If he was annoying and you want to have another go, I offer a replay. But really now, is all this bother necessary?

Dosie... I've been in this league since 2003. I think I'm well within my right to post an opinion based on my experiences playing here. With that said, I think this league has been in decline for the past 3+ seasons... yet we're still here. Why? Because we actually enjoy playing in this league contrary to what you may think.

Also, I said the league is becoming a joke, not that it is a joke.

in all fairness dosie its not a secret that Side and puni arent friends. But this is takin the ****. Especially when it comes from someone who has been booted from a league where he was the one using cheats for whatever the reason was. I dont care about the details, i just call that being hypocrit. The reason it is going down hill is the fact that it is getting old the anti cheat is a piece of crap at the moment it don’t help and as for Punni who will confirm this I am sure I voted that he did not cheat in his first appeal.

As for disgraceful yes anyone who uses a cheat to win a match it is disgraceful no matter who it is don’t change my words to suit your purposes I said if he was proven a cheat .

DMW is not the greatest of anticheats and I for one in the last while have lost most of my respect for it for my own personal reason of I know and won’t air it here.

DMW's moving of files seems to me to be a cop out personally I think they set out to get him because of his appeal which was counter productive to DMW.

Seriously though Dosie, the rule we worked on when i was admin and it hasn't changed is that if there is no evidence of a cheat used in a war, no default...the only time that challenges that is if the person was linked, meaning he was banned prior to the war start.

Please check with other people if you need verification of it but i'm sure this is the rule the league uses...

DMW know they are poor and catch barely anyone they should...they just use random file moving as a scape goat pretending to do their actual job...

I'm not twisting your words Dosie. Given the context of them, I merely assumed they were aimed at us. If that was wrong though, then I apologise.

The reason his ban will stay is because they feel they will lose credibility within the community if they let him mess about with his files while he had been warned not to do so. They had told him they would be looking at his actions closely and would ban him again for the smallest slip-up, and they have. In all fairness, I do see their point, which is why we, as a clan, accept it and opt to move on. That you then get people trying to cash in cheap points in the league just rubbed many of us the wrong way, which I'm sure you can understand, especially since the action he was banned for occured well after this match was played. I don't even see why we should offer a replay to begin with, let alone a default, and they should consider themselves lucky we're willing to do so because they haven't a leg to stand on.

It's not even gonna be replayed...the rule is that only if you are linked or cheated in a war is the default/rematch done....You can't really whine about cheating anyway Side so...

DMW can't catch bypasses so they say people move files around...custom maps are basically doing this, you move a file into your folder, you move it back out, you swap it's place, you arrange the files...w/e...it's moving about, i've downloaded a dodgy custom map before, all be it not an actual cheat...but it's not hard to get a weird one, or accidently remove a needed file if you are getting rid of a custom map...

Really, if you played MOHAA, i can't believe i'm having to say this again -_- Puni is way to awful to cheat...and moving files around on purpose? HA
