Well, where to start. Okay, so we WON the bash!! To be fair though, they didn't care and messed around, but was fun. Anyway we decided to stay as axis.

Bridge - Axis
To be fair, we attacked well. We were exceptionally unlucky not to take any rounds at all. First 4 rounds went down to 1v1's after some great play from both sides. Hotel was tricky at times, with Mal, Clrkz and Saiko defending it. Spartan was in cellar and their sniper was varying his position well, but mostly stayed on the bridge. Saiko was being awkward with some of his positions, staying back on 1 or 2 rounds at the grass bank wall area, or clipping red door etc. Unfortunately we didn't have the rub of the green when it came to those 1v1's, but on another day we could well have taken all 4 of those rounds. The other 3 rounds were pretty close too, but again, didn't go our way! 7-0 to .sA.

Bridge - Allies
Our defending was really poor to what it has been in recent weeks. They did exactly what I said they'd do, which was rush hotel, that their sniper would come down road and the fact they would heavily naded the hotel wall and surrounding areas. We lost hotel too fast which put them in the ascendency on most rounds, especially leaving me 3 on 1. Anyway, we weren't strong enough defending and got raped really. 5-2 to .sA

Remagen - Allies
We knew they wouldn't be as good on RB as they are on objective (cos they like rushing and have no patience, lol... Ross will vouch for that), but the cup was looking very much out of reach for us. Anyway, we knew they wouldn't sit back and camp, infact, we knew they'd rush, so we chose to defend, steal a quick kill and camp it up. Even when they went 1 or 2 up, they didn't sit around either and proceeding to go frag hunting. We played well, knowing fine well they'd get frustrated. However, they took 2 rounds and therefore guaranteed them a draw. 5-2 to =|UiC|=

Remagen - Axis
We needed to get a 7-0 to draw the game and force it into a third map. Sadly it wasn't to be as they gained the upper hand in i think the 3rd round, although i'm not totally sure. Anyway, we battled hard, but didn't quite get the 7-0 needed. 5-2 to =|UiC|=

Overall, the damage was clearly done on the Bridge. Maybe things could have been different had we had some luck attacking on Bridge and that our defending had been a bit stronger. Nonetheless it was a good effort from the lads to get it back to a more respectable score. Well played guys, it wasn't to be, but maybe next time!

Sorry Stu but you missed the 2 most VITAL points in the match....and as mal missed them both on his demo as well :@
Was a good game, in fairness if it was closer on the first map we would have camped on rb but we were pretty confident of getting 3 rounds rushing :P
We got lucky some rounds on OBJ and as 3 of us crap ping i didn't think we'd get 12-2...but oh well

Very informative match report for what seemed like an enjoyable match. I don't like to blow my own trumpet, but I have an observation.

Going back approximately 5 years when smokin aces were known as fG! they were nothing short of a shambles. I was approached and offered a brown envelope by Wrighty to sort out this ramshackle clan, which I accepted.

It took quite a while before things started to gel and the n00bs in the clan could learn from me. I taught these lads some of the basics of FPS games :-

. How to play without leaning/clipping.
. How to save time by running everywhere instead of walking.
. How to run in straight lines instead of timewasting sidestepping moves.
. How to confuse the enemy by firing 30 feet to the side of them, thus dissorientating them.
. How silence on TS helps to win matches.

The list is endless, but I'm sure you get the picture by now. These greenhorns were awful, but singlehandedly I battered them into a lean mean fighting machine.

The final piece of the jigsaw slotted into place when Saiko arrived and started to show signs that he would probably be able to do some sort of leadership job. I took him under my wing for a couple of months and taught him basic army training and how to understand belgian and english language.

Luckily for him and fG! he managed to scrape by which finally made them the team they are today.
